Thoughts
As the father of my best friend and as someone I've known almost all my life, I will always remember Chris with great respect and affection. He was generous, always welcoming, deeply loved his family, a true professional in his field and with remarkable passion for airplanes and for his books. Rest in peace Chris, you will be very much missed.

Very much thinking of all the Shores family. What struck me so much about Chris was his passion for his work which I found incredibly infectious. What an encyclopaedic mind he had and how important it was for all those stories of airmen to be told and preserved. I also always hugely enjoyed our chats whether over lunch in Hendon, or later visiting him and Marion in Sherborne. They also used to take me out to lunch in London for a catch up and he was always brimming with pride at the achievements of his children and grandchildren. A huge loss for the family.
